SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS DELAYS IN OBTAINING VAT REFUNDS
We would like to thank you for the quick response made with regards to the request on outstanding VAT refunds.
We are pleased to inform you that we have made arrangements with the officials of the Inland Revenue - VAT department, to have a meeting to discuss matters relating to all outstanding VAT refunds. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 27th October 2009, at the Board Room of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
We would like to invite one representative from your company (due to limited seating availability at the Board room) to discuss issues relating to the subject. We would appreciate if you could Fax/E-mail the attached reply form before Monday, 26th October, 2009, to confirm you attendance.
Also please note that EASL will be forwarding a summery of all the details forwarded by your company with regards to the outstanding VAT refunds to expedite the matter & for the officials to be better prepared for this meeting. If there is any company who does not wish to have their information forwarded to the department beforehand and would prefer to present it at the meeting, kindly inform the undersigned immediately,
