The Exporters Association of Sri Lanka to conduct a Seminar on "Outlook for Exports in 2011 and Beyond"
on Wednesday, 08th December 2010 at 2.00 p.m. at the DHPL Auditorium (EDB Bldg), Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 02.
A Seminar on "Outlook for Exports in 2011 and Beyond" organized by the Exporters- Association of Sri Lanka will be held at the at the DHPL Auditorium (EDB Bldg), Nawam Mawatha, Colombo 02, from 2.00 - 5.00 p.m. on December 08th 2010
In view of the vital role of the Export Sector in achieving strong economic growth and the recognition of the government of the need to strengthen exports, EASL has organised the above mentioned seminar. This will address broad areas including the Forward Plan and Direction for the export sector in the coming year and beyond, various issues presently facing the Export Sector in achieving competitiveness globally and the key export related proposals in the 2011 Budget.
The Seminar will be addressed by the following key speakers under the following topics.
Mr. Nivard Cabraal- Governor,Central Bank of Sri Lanka - "The Outlook for Export Sector for 2011 and beyond - Central Bank perspective"
Mr. Janaka Ratnayake-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Export Development Board - "The future strategy for Export and the role of EDB"
Mrs. Mallika Samarasekera-Deputy Commissioner General, Department of Inland Revenue- "Key Fiscal aspects in the 2011 budget relating to the Export Sector"
Mr. Lalith Kahatapitiya- Chairman, KIK Group of Companies - "Outlook for Exports - Private sector perspective"
The Seminar will be followed by a Panel Discussion.
